Hello readers! I hope all of you had a wonderful Sunday and enjoyed the warm weather! So as I mentioned in my first post, I am a vegetarian. I face several obstacles everyday because of this. I am going to share some of the obstacles and also some brands of meatless product that I have found taste the best.
Before I became a vegetarian, I was known as the chicken nugget queen. I ate nuggets just about every single day. Then one day I was doing what every 21st century person does when they are bored, brows YouTube. After a couple hours I came across a video of how they get the meat for chicken nuggets and I was mortified! What they do to those poor chickens in the last few moments of their life left me speechless. I am not going to get into the gory details but just know it was enough to make the nug queen give them up for life. I had to learn a whole new life style without meat. But it was honestly hands down the best decision I have ever made.
I face numerous of challenges everyday because of my new lifestyle. A big one is when me and monkey go out to eat somewhere. You would think that with more and more people switching to the herbivore life that restaurants would have more meatless options, but sadly they don't. You can always order cheese fries or ask if they have any meatless options.
My favorite brand of meatless food is a brand called Boca Vegan Made which you can get at Kroger. Most of their products run from $2.00 to $4.00. My favorite thing to buy is their soy nuggets (of course), their soy chicken nugget sandwiches and their veggie burgers. Also black beans are a good alternative for sides and a fantastic source of protein.
Being a vegetarian can be tricky at times but when I see a picture of an animal, I knw that I am making a small step to helping save their lives. If you have any questions on becoming a vegetarian please feel free to leave your comments in the comment bar! I would love to help you get started!
