Hello love bugs! Today I am going to discuss mine and monkey's Valentine's Day with you. I know it was almost a week ago, but better late then never!

So I always knew monkey was romantic but he went above and beyond to make sure that it was the most special day ever. We woke up and it was like every other morning. He was getting ready for work and I had a doctors appointment that morning. We kiss and say our goodbyes and go our separate ways. Once my appointment is over I go home and start doing what every woman does on date night, I primp myself. You know, hair, make up, shaving my legs (even the backs), trying on ten thousand different outfits before I find the one. Well after two hours of that, I was ready for whatever plans that were in store for me that night.

Finally, monkey came home and got ready then we were on our way! Once we left our apartment,  he blindfolded me for what felt like forever. After about fifteen minutes, I was told to remove the blindfold. We were on the interstate but the destination still unclear to me. Well we kept driving, and driving, and driving until we get into Memphis, which he tried convincing me was Branson. I still had no idea what we were going to be doing. We finally arrive to this little restaurant called "Imagine" which was this super adorable vegan place. Being the body builder he is, he needed meat... and lots of it, but he sacrificed that for me and tried my "meat". We ordered so much food, neither one of us could finish it. He said that we had plans at seven and it was only 5:15 so we had time to spare.

We went to the mall and right when I was getting out, my heel on my combat boot broke, so it was really convenient that we were at the mall. Monkey is so sweet because he carried my pink floral backpack all over the mall. :) We finally find me some shoes and by that time it was 6:45 and we had plans at seven! We get in the car and I was told to be blindfolded again! So the whole time on the way there I was trying to guess where we were going. Being the Elvis fan that I am and being in Memphis, I kept saying a Elvis impersonator. Haha.  Well several minutes later we arrive and I take the bandana off and we are at the movie theater. I was so excited because I knew we were watching 50 Shades Darker... I had only been talking about it for the past year. So we run inside... literally run because we were running late. We get inside and  try to get our tickets and I realize I didn't bring my ID in with me and then I panicked because I always leave it in my car. Ladies and gentlemen, I kid you not, I was in tears. Well, I sprint to the car and find it in my wallet! I was beyond ecstatic. I run back inside and get our tickets. I was literally jumping for joy when we were walking into the theater. But honestly, my favorite part was looking at monkey smiling because he knows how to make me happy.

Once the movie was finished we went to Ben and Jerry's in the movie theater parking lot. I LOOOOVE chocolate and ice cream so monkey really knew what he was doing. This particular Ben and Jerry's also had a store and games. Monkey got himself a shirt that says "Body by Ben and Jerry's" and he got me a beanie with a cow and on the top it has a tail that hangs down. Freaking adorable, I know. Anyways, after I slaughtered him at foosball (I also broke a nail) and he whooped me at checkers, we decided to head home.

We made it home and when we got to the door, there was a tulip (my favorite flower) tied to the knob. This instantaneously brought a Julia Roberts smile to my face. When we walk in, there were petals leading all the way to our room. And when I flipped the light on, there were tulips all over the bed and the floor. And being the emotional woman that I am, yeah you guessed it, the water works came like the Niagara Falls. So I guess sometimes its not that bad living with two guys. Shoutout to Jo for doing the flowers for monkey!

That's how my Valentines Day went this year. How did yours go? Did you stay home and eat ice cream from the container and watch chick flicks? Or did you and a special someone go out? Let me know down below in the comment bar. If you would like for me to write about anything specific, email me your ideas at creativewriting1321@gmail.com

Have a blessed day!
