Hello love bugs! So I am beginning a new chapter of my life. Tonight is my last night at the Jonesboro Sun. I am going to be working full time at the Truck Patch. I know what you're thinking, "why did you leave the paper?? Don't you want to be a writer?" You're right, I do want to be a writer but more importantly I want to help people better themselves and I also want to eventually open my own business (which I will describe later on in this article.)
Next spring I am going to go back to school to get a degree in philosophy and a minor in English. I am wanting to open my own coffee shop that has vegan options. Included in my coffee shop, I want to have a library (the books have to stay there). And the books there will be books I have wrote or from local authors.
I have also decided to homemade vegan soaps and also some canvas tote bags. You can use these bags for when you go grocery shopping or to the beach! Working at The Truck Patch has made me realize how more and more people in my area are trying to live a healthy lifestyle. So that is why I have decided to go the route that I am going. More and more people have stopped using plastic and paper bags, they are using the canvas totes. And as of the soap, if you read the ingredients on the back of your soap bottle, most of them are chemicals and are harming your body that is why I am offering a homemade vegan soap that is made with natural ingredients.
I honestly did not mean to go on that big long spill, but its something I am passionate about. But yes, I am closing the door on my career as an obituary writer and opening the door to becoming an entrepreneur. In the next month or so, I will be selling my tote bags and soap on my website and also my blog Facebook. So keep an eye out for it!
XOXO
