Hello love bugs! Every human being on the face of the planet has some type of stress in their life. Whether its your job, money, or relationships with the people around you, I am going to give you some strategies that help me to relieve some stress from my life
- Yoga: As cliché as it sounds yoga is a good way to focus on your breathing and to clear your mind. I don't do it as much as I would like but once I finish a yoga session I feel rejuvenated and ready to conquer the world. It also increases your flexibility which is a huge plus! Your local gym should have a class schedule so check it out! Your body will thank you!
- Hobby: My hobbies include the gym, scrapbooking/Wreck This Journal, and writing. Whatever it is that makes you happy, DO IT! Get los in a project, put on your gm playlist and workout for a couple hours. When you don't give any attention to the thing that is stressing you out, it no longer has power over you. So get lost in what sets your soul on fire.
- Take a Mental Vacation: Go into your closet, or take a bubble bath. Go some place where you can be alone for 30-45 minutes. In those 30 minutes completely clear your mind and don't think about anything that's going on in your life. Close your eyes and picture yourself in your happy place. Just think about being right there in in the moment. That whatever is happening in the real world doesn't matter. Going on this mental vacation will calm your nerves and after 30 minutes you will be able to handle the situation better.
- Throw Your Stress Away: What I mean by this is to write down everything in your life that is causing you stress and then tear the paper into tiny strips and throw them away. Something even better is to write it all down and have a little ceremony by yourself in the backyard. Set that piece of paper on fire and watch your stress burn away.
Obviously this stuff won't make your stress disappear but you will be able to cope better with it and make the stressful situation a little less stressful.
